Once upon a time, I was sitting at a desk in an office in West London, working 10+ hours every single day, stressed, unhappy, exhausted, dreading the possibility that I was stuck in that kind of life style for the rest of my days. Upon returning from a life-changing trip to Peru in April 2015, where I first came into contact with plant medicine, I decided to quit my job, go to Thailand and complete a Yoga Teacher Training. Even in my wildest dreams I would never imagine where these clumsy, somewhat impulsive first steps were to take me. My original plan was to go back to London after the training and see how things would work out for me. Cue to 2019, I am citizen of the world. I live on a paradise island in Thailand , where I have been teaching yoga for the last 4 years. I have travelled to India to deepen my Yoga practice and knowledge and have met wonderful teachers on the way. I have run retreats in Malaysia by the sea. I have taught in studios, parks, offices, resorts, you name it. I have led Yoga Teacher Trainings and keep learning every time I step on my mat. I have never regretted my decision to leave everything behind to dedicate my life to what I discovered to be my true calling.
During my first trip to India to deepen my yoga studies, almost by accident I came across a course in Advaita Vedanta, which is more than just a philosophical path or theory, but a incredible practical tool that can be used from the most mundane to the most profound questionings our souls encounter. It has changed the way I see myself and the universe around (and within) me and it has helped me immensely in diminishing my suffering.
I am qualified to teach Vinyasa Flow, Alignment and Yin Yoga and my teaching style is very down-to-earth, grounding, with special attention to breathing, body awareness and mindfulness during the practice.
My current main personal practice is Ashtanga Yoga, through which I have been experiencing incredible inner and outer transformation. My flow classes are heavily influenced by the structure and philosophy of this wonderful method and I have studied with amazing KPJYI Authorised teachers.
Besides Yoga, I am also a Reiki Master and Advaita Vedanta student. Combining these three practices have been life-changing for me and I strive to incorporate the key aspects of each of them not only in my practice and teachings, but also in daily life.
